Although not all rescued Salukis come to STOLA looking like this little girl did, all come in with needs. These needs vary from medical to social to training and beyond, and between the veterinary expenses, transportation expenses, housing, feeding ... the average cost of rehabilitating a Saluki to the point that he or she can be adopted runs about $800.(1) The moderate adoption fee asked by STOLA does not come close to meeting those expenses, so the organization relies on the generosity of its supporters to fill in the rather substantial gaps.
