Jambo, Fellow Adventurers....

Those visitors who have been in and out of Gazehound.com for many years might recall the old banner which opened the site. It said "Reality is what you make it". To date, there is still an essay on this site, written many years ago, that expounds the earliest stirrings of my thoughts on the nature of reality. Since then, I have run across this concept, in many different forms, in many different places, over and over again. It's appeared in my path often enough that I knew it was no coincidence. Just a few of those instances....

  • There were the teachings of the Good Medicine Society, which explored the concept to some extent.
  • There was the professional animal communicators workshop where the instructor, and the animals, were discussing the malleable nature of reality, and where I was introduced to Messages from Water, by Dr Masaru Emoto.
  • There was Dr Emoto's work itself, with its amazing photographic proof that thoughts and words can indeed alter reality.
  • There was the movie What The Bleep Do We Know? which relayed in the form of graphic entertainment the works of Dr Emoto, as well as many other scientists and experts on the subject.

And then, after these and many other bits of inspiration that caused me to continue to explore this concept ... my Mom died.

Anyone who has lost a close loved one, especially a parent who was also a dear and treasured friend, knows how devastating a blow it can be. Although I will not say I am "over my grief", I do go through stretches of "I'm okay". In a large way, I give credit for my survival of this loss to the fact that these discoveries about "reality" truly escalated when, shortly after Mom's death, I turned to her spirit in tears one night and cried out for help.

The following day a friend, out of the blue, asked, "So, have you seen The Secret yet?"

And then another friend asked the same thing.

And another ... and another ... and ... well, you catch my drift.

So, finally, slow as I am to catch on, I headed for Google and typed in The Secret. The first link that popped up was http://www.tut.com.

I've since spent many hours wandering around Mike Dooley's website. I signed right up for his Notes from the Universesm, and installed it on the front page of Gazehound.com. In addition to purchasing the book, movie and audiobook of The Secret, I also invested in Mike Dooley's Infinite Possibilities© audio CD set.

Of all of the many books, tapes and audio and video series I've explored on the Law of Attraction, the nature of Reality, and the power of our thoughts to change our worlds, Mike Dooley's works seem to best resonate with me. I not only find power in exploring these fascinating CDs, but comfort as well. Mom has been gone now for many months, but I still sometimes find myself totally lost in missing her. Infinite Possibilities helps me to remember who I am during those lost days, and brings me back to a better place. I will not say that it's totally changed my life "yet". But it does give me the courage to accept the fact that it's possible.

Infinitely.

I've recently signed on to the TUT (which stands for Totally Unique Thoughts) affiliate program, and invite you, through the banner above and below, to check out Infinite Possibilities for yourself. If you like what you see, and it leads to a purchase, that's great and I thank you. If not, that's great, too, and I thank you just as sincerely... and hope that at the very least this step in your journey brings you a new smile, one that you hadn't yet discovered before you clicked the link.

Blessings and Light....

Gayle
