you must have the permission of the legal owner before I can do
a consultation with the animal.

Hours of Operation:

In General: I have openings for phone, voice, and  IM (both voice and typed) sessions Monday through Saturday at the following time spots (all times are US Eastern): 10:30AM, 12Noon, 1:30PM, 3PM and 8PM.  Sundays are Emergency Only (a true emergency means something that absolutely can not wait a day due to animal severe health or safety situations) and I still cannot guarantee you’ll find me home. These Times May Vary depending on my current schedule, my family’s schedule, and any “things that come up”.  Although I understand that emergencies can crop up, I normally request at least twenty four hours notice to schedule a session. (During the college school year, this is even more important, as time spots tend to fill up quickly.)

Some Known Outages Upcoming; January 2012: Tuesday January 31st, gone all day. Also, school resumes, along with “Mom’s taxi service”, January 23rd, so availability will depend on my son’s class schedules. Daily changes will be posted on Twitter and Facebook, with Twitter postings mirrored here on gazehound.com in the left sidebar.

In General: From January 23rd, 2012 till May, when college is in session, I will be unavailable during the following time spots: 10:30 every weekday, 12 noon Mondays and Fridays, 3PM Tuesdays and Thursdays. 3 PM spots on Wednesdays may be available, but will be limited to half-hour appointments only. Apologies for the inconvenience this might cause anyone.

Rates and Payment

A client has kindly informed me that recent legislation prevents me from offering “Gift Certificates” any longer. I will continue to honor any which have already been purchased as pre-paid sessions rather than “Gift Certificates”. Due to this change in legislation,  the specials on this page will now be viewed as “pre-paid sessions” and have no expiration date.

The holiday special has concluded for 2011, thank you to all who have participated. Regular pre-paid session discounts are still available below.

Rates as of July 2009 are (When No Specials Are Running):

• Basic session up to 1/2 hour: $36
• Per minute charge beyond the 1/2 hour: $1.20
• Pre-Paid Sessions Available At: 1 for $36, 2 for $70, 3 for $90 (which once again buys three for the “old” rate of $30/session)

• I do not charge up front, but ask clients to wait until after the session to send payment. If the client does not feel I have been helpful in any way, they may choose not to send payment. All I ask is that people honestly let me know their decision.
• Rates are $36 base rate per half hour session, longer sessions charged by the minute, via telephone or email. As of November 1st, 2007, due to rising travel costs and severe limits on my time, I am no longer offering in-person sessions (exception: see “parties and gatherings” below).
• Gift Certificates are no longer available “as such”. However, you may pre-pay for sessions, if you like, at the regular session rate of 1 for $36, 2 for $70, 3 for $90 (which once again buys three for the “old” rate of $30/session). A form is provided above for your convenience.
• Please e-mail or call in advance and schedule an appointment. Consultations can be paid for by via PayPal online payment service. If you choose to use PayPal, please visit http://www.paypal.com and select to Send Money or email me and ask to be invoiced. Enter either gayle@gazehound.com or allcreatures@gazehound.com as the recipient of your payment. You may need to register with PayPal to use the service. Second choice for payment will be money orders. While I do accept personal checks if it is the only convenient method, please be aware that all penalties and chargeback fees for checks that do not clear will be the responsibility of the client. • Those requesting that I send   healing energy only will receive that service free of charge.
• An average session will last up to 30 minutes and will include up to three animals per session. This is because I realize that many situations will involve more than one household member, but more than three animals in session at once may become too confusing and the quality of time I can devote to each individual may diminish. Sessions which go over half an hour will incur the additional charge of $1.20/minute.

Types of Sessions and Details

• For telephone sessions, the client calls me at the indicated phone number at the scheduled time. There will be a fifteen minute leeway because I understand that clients sometimes are running behind, but if more than fifteen minutes passes the time scheduled is no longer guaranteed.
• I  also offer instant messaging Voice Chat sessions. This provides the benefits of a telephone session, without the cost of a phone call to the client. All you need to utilize this option is a broadband connection, either a headset with headphones and microphone, or a computer microphone and headphones or speakers, and a current version of Yahoo Instant Messenger, AOL’s AIM or Skype (all free software). If you request a voice chat session, we will exchange user names for the program option of your choice. I do slightly prefer the Skype software, as the sound quality is slightly better, but will happily accept the client’s preference, also.
• Regular (typed) IM sessions are also available.
• Please note I am currently not accepting missing pet cases except for cases from existing clients. Please understand that this is a forced choice for me due to medical issues. • I offer consultations with pets who have passed on, as well.

Special Discounts

• I offer free consultations for STOLA (Saluki Tree of Life Alliance, Inc.) rescue Salukis while they are under the legal ownership of STOLA, plus, at the Saluki’s Regional Coordinator’s request and with the new owner’s consent, free consultations with the dog during the adjustment period in her new home (usually the first six weeks). All other official rescue organizations receive a discounted rate (see below) if they request it and have a verifiable presence in the rescue community (such as IRS non-profit status).
• Discounts and special rates: All discounts will be calculated at 20% off the half-hour rate. This includes discounts for referrals and official rescue organizations/presences. (See above and below)
• Due to the fact that many referred clients forget to tell me that they have been referred, it will be required that the referring (existing) client who has sent the new person to me inform me that they wish a referral credit and provide me with the name of the person they have referred. Referral credits are only available if the referred person has sent in payment. Payment by the new client must be received within thirty (30) days, for the referring client to claim the credit.
• Only one referral credit discount may be applied per session. It is preferred that the referral credit be redeemed within one year of the referral, to simplify record keeping.
