A conversation with an animal is rarely like a conversation with a human, at least not for me. I know that many animal communicators, when relaying the exchange with the pet, make it sound like they are simply talking back and forth. This hasn’t been my experience, personally. Doesn’t it seem like the holidays come around faster and faster every year? I’d like to wish all my US friends and their animal families a very happy Thanksgiving week! Schedule Changes As I’ve been posting on Twitter/Facebook, a medical procedure on Tuesday and our family celebrations Thursday will necessitate some changes in my schedule. [Click title to read post ...] Black cats. There are so many stories around about how black cats vanish during the Halloween season. Some of those stories are myth and anecdote, of course, but there is a definite thread of real caution that runs through them. A strong enough thread, in fact, that some shelters will put a hold on black cat adoptions during the month of October. While it’s growing more rare that shelters and rescue groups do this, there are real reasons to be cautions around the Halloween season, regardless of what color your pet may be. [Click title to read post ...] The visit with Dr Resnick went well. He’s taking a conservative approach, and is starting me back on prednisone, at 30-mg/day to begin.
