Schedule Changes

As I’ve been posting on Twitter/Facebook, a medical procedure on Tuesday and our family celebrations Thursday will necessitate some changes in my schedule. I won’t be available either of those days at all, Sunday we’re having company so I’ll be unavailable then, as well. Saturday 11/19 is “pretty booked” already, too. Monday and Wednesday I will be here, but availability will be sporadic.

Holiday Special

One of my holiday traditions for years has been to run a holiday special on prepaid communication sessions. From Thanksgiving Day (this coming Thursday, 11/24) until January 6th (“Twelfth Night”, as the old traditions called it), I will therefore be running a special rate on “packages” of three sessions. While I already offer a reduced price for groups of prepaid sessions, for the Holiday Special you can purchase three sessions for $80.00.

It’s definitely the pyoderma gangrenosum again, so at least we know what direction we’re going in.

I am, therefore, available for sessions as normal, for those who had written to ask what the future might hold in that regard.

If you follow my Facebook or Twitter updates, you’re very likely already aware that my leg has “bloomed” badly again, and I’m therefore facing a health situation different from what I went through in 2008 only in that now we know what we’re dealing with. Or at least we think we know.

I have an emergency appointment with my wonderful Dr. Resnick, who saved the leg three years ago, tomorrow afternoon. I have no idea what the next step will be. None of the possible options are going to be fun, as the leg is very severe. I won’t gross you out with the details here, but clicking “Pyoderma Gangrenosum” on the right side link menu will allow those who wish to see the latest chapter of this horror story to view the updates (with photos). And trust me, I don’t blame you in the least if you’d rather not. I’d rather not, too…but the fact that the thing’s attached to my body kind of negates that option, eh?

I’ll try to keep people posted. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you’ll already be receiving updates. (Have already figured out how to do that on my new phone). I know there is also a WordPress app, so I may try installing that so I can post to the blog as well. “Just in case”, you know.

And of course the best hope is that these alternative contact options will be a moot point, and I’ll be right here at home and at work as always.

Quick Update from Gayle

Autumn Changes
The school year is starting on Monday the 29th of August.  This means that once again I’ll be in and out several times a day, and my hours for sessions will be harder to pin down.  Please do try to contact me to schedule a consultation at least a couple days in advance so I can make sure we can find a good time to talk with your animals.  In addition, email sessions will be much easier to schedule while I’m traveling back and forth to the college in “mom’s taxi mode”.

A Better Way To Keep In Touch
In addition, I am very probably, starting in September, going to be sending out a mid-month update in order to keep everyone in better touch with what is going on.  This will simply be an email which contains links to what has been posted on my blog through the month.  It will be sent out in addition to my monthly newsletter and, of course, will be free as well.  Feel free to read, click, or delete as the spirit leads.

I hope the approaching fall finds everyone well and all of your animal friends in good health and great spirits.

Well, life being what it is, delays ensued, and the book is finally available in e-book form on Amazon.com. This post will be both an announcement that the transfer is complete (successfully, I hope) and the first post sent through the new server.  I have my fingers crossed that everyone receives it without ado!
