A Quiet Christmas Eve

Silent Night, Holy Night….

It’s a quiet day, somewhat melancholy, the silence of Christmas fills my home. Things change, they evolve, they grow, they die, and they always remain the same. Christmas time brings that to light in the most joyful … and sorrowful … way…..

Vibration

I was chatting in email with a friend this morning, and the topic of “vibration” came up.  It’s had me thinking since, and as a pebble tossed into a pond spreads ripples toward the shore, those thoughts have led to this post.

Vibration.  Everything, whether it is something we think of as living, or something we [Click title to read post ...]

Friday the 13th

And no, not the movie….

Unlucky thirteen.  Triskaidekaphobia.  Thirteen witches in a coven.  No thirteenth floor in a hotel.

Isn’t it interesting how the fear of a simple number seems to have infiltrated our society?  Most of us, when we hear these things, think they’re silly, at least on the outside.  How many of us, however, don’t [Click title to read post ...]

Halloween: Day of the Dead, or Just a Day of Fun?

"Here, Kitty Kitty. Mwwaaaa haaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaa….."

Halloween: what we in the west know as a fun holiday, where kids get dressed up and beg for candy from their neighbors, actually began approximately 2,000 years ago in the Celtic cultures of northern Europe and the British Isles.  The Celts believed that on this day, which [Click title to read post ...]

Little Actions -- Financial Healing

And now for something completely different….

Well, perhaps not “completely”, as the topic does tie in to one of my old favorites: the law of attraction.  It’s often said that, in order to manifest the life of our dreams, we must take small steps toward that life.  We must do little things as if [Click title to read post ...]

Psychic Fair

I’ve been “out of commission” for so long now, that when I agreed to sit in at our local Spiritualist Center’s annual Psychic Fair yesterday, I was facing more than the usual share of jitters before the event actually happened.

It turned out (it usually does, doesn’t it?) that I was letting myself grow anxious for [Click title to read post ...]

Little Victories, Big Gratitudes

Perspective. When it comes right down to it, everything we do in life centers around perspective. It’s really phenomenal how our point of view can change, too.

The little things we so often simply take for granted can, with one bizarre turn of fate, become major issues. Things like walking, sleeping comfortably, being able to do the things we used to complain about (like weeding gardens and cleaning the house)…. It doesn’t take much to make one do a double-take and realize how important the seemingly unimportant details can really be.

RAOKA'n Robins. Er, Starlings.

“Gayle, Gayle, you made a  typo in the title of this post!  It should be Rockin’ Robins!”

Neewwwwp.  I spelled, or initialed, anyway, it right.  RAOKA.  It stands for:

Random Acts of Kick-Arse

Sami, a super blogger over at Life, Laughs and Lemmings (I kid you not), came up with this great idea, you see.  She’s setting up [Click title to read post ...]

Infinite Maybes (Reflections On Human Nature)

Reflections….

Those of us who do animal rescue get to see the darkest side of human nature … or at least one of the darkest sides.  It’s easy, if one has been exposed to hoarders and abusers long enough, to become jaded regarding the nature of our fellow humans.

For some, it takes effort to [Click title to read post ...]
