Gayle’s Mom was an avid gardener.  She had a green thumb that could vitalize plants, indoor or outside.  She had the talent of taking a plant that had dried up and turned into a shriveled stick and bringing it back to full, green, glowing glory.

Gayle did not inherit these genes.

However, she does love Daylilies, and has collected over eighty-five registered cultivars (and a few that are labeled as “unknown” but as well loved).  Daylilies are hearty, hardy, generous and kind.  They do not die as easily as many other flowers.  They are perennial, and they love to have their pictures taken, making them doubly precious and cooperative.

Gayle is a member of the Hudson-Adirondack Daylily Society, and is honored to share some of her favorite blooms.
