Adopt a Cyber-Pony!

Love Horses? Love to read?
Please enjoy my free online fantasy
novel for young readers,

And enough requests have been received, that I've also uploaded its first sequel,

Please read the following IMPORTANT information before requesting your CyberPony!
If I receive email from you that clearly indicates that you didn't read the following, you won't get a CyberPony.
Sorry.

Also, IMPORTANT: I can no longer help people put their pony graphics on their websites. The email you will receive includes instructions for the most basic type of web page creation ... cutting and pasting code ... but things have changed so much that most people who are requesting ponies now don't really know basic web design and don't understand. You must seek assistance from someone who knows how to use the interface you are using to create your site, and unfortunately that person isn't me ... I can't possibly know how to use all web design interfaces out there, because every one is different. Sorry!

Have you always wanted a horse of your own? Now you can adopt your very own Cyber-Pony to live on your web page! Please note: with the increase of interactive sites and interactive pets on the Internet (NeoPets, etc), more and more of my CyberPony visitors are assuming that the ponies "do something". Nope, they're just little pictures to live on the cyberpets section of your web page. If you don't have a web page, there is really no sense in asking for a CyberPony, unless you just like to collect little pictures in a folder on your computer.

Rule number 1: Rude kids don't get ponies. It's unfortunate that I even have to mention this. I'm not a kid myself, I'm an adult, with children of my own, old enough to be a grandmother even though I'm not (yet). I just really like kids. Polite ones, anyway. Now back to the fun stuff....

Things to know and problems you may encounter:
  • Make sure it's okay with your parent/guardian to request a CyberPony. You must give out your working e-mail address, or I will not be able to send you your pony, and for that please get permission from your parent/guardian.
  • This form does NOT work with AOL. AOL members please use the e-mail link below and tell me what style and color pony you would like). If you just send "I want a pony", I won't know what type and color of pony to send you! :-)
  • You must provide a working e-mail address. Must. No exceptions. Without a valid address to send your pony to, I can't send you your pony. If you have requested a pony and not received it, the most likely reason is that you didn't give me the right address to send it to.
  • AOL users (again), as well as other ISPs with overdone spamguards like Earthlink, must both accept e-mail from my address (gayle@gazehound.com) and allow e-mail with attachments. If you are blocking e-mail from me or blocking attachments, I can't send you your pony. If you're not sure, ask your folks before requesting a pony. In fact you should ask your folks before requesting a pony anyway ... I'm a stranger, after all!

One example of each type of Pony is pictured for you, with a selection of colors for you to choose from. Please only pick ONE pony per visit. After you are done filling out the form, Send it, and soon you will receive your Cyber-Pony of choice as an attachment to an e-mail. Please be patient, this is not an automated system, I am a real person who sends out ponies when she gets a chance to check her e-mail. In the e-mail you will receive a section of html code to cut and paste onto your page so that everyone who visits your site can see your Pony! These are the only instructions you will receive. If you don't understand them, please seek help from someone who knows how the web design interface you use works. That person is not me, I'm sorry that I cannot provide help for every interface.

If pasted in correctly, once your Pony is on your site, clicking on the Pony or the included link will send your visitors back here to The Gazehound's KidStuff. Pasting in this code used to be a requirement, but as more and more website creation programs and hosts are totally graphic these days, it's come to my attention that not all allow the user to paste in formatted html segments. If you cannot paste the formatted html into your site, it's fine to just create a link in whatever way your web design program/interface allows that points back to The Gazehound's KidStuff site. Ask a computer-savvy adult for help if you do not know how to do this.

(If you are adopting your pony to put on a web site, after the pony is up, please e-mail me at gayle@gazehound.com and let me know your web site address so that I may visit your pony and your page. I would like add you to my page of links to sites that have our Cyber-Ponies living on them, as well. If you do not want your site included, please let me know in your e-mail (I would still like to visit, though).

If your browser does not support "mailto forms", you can still order your Cyber-Pony via e-mail. Click the Quill Pen below and if your browser is set up for e-mail links it should open a mail program. Tell me your choice (Such as "Blue Unicorn"), your working e-mail address, and the correct URL address for your web site and I will return your Pony to you as above. (If the click-link doesn't work, write down the following e-mail address and send me an e-mail with the above information.)
