GAZEHOUND'S ANIMAL COMMUNICATION FAQ & INFORMATION

This is a duplicate of the file that is sent out to all who inquire about scheduling a session via email. Please check back here periodically to keep up with changes and updates.

================

(By scheduling an animal communication session with me, you are agreeing that you have read and understand the following information.)

Thank you for inquiring about my animal communication services. I hope I'm able to help you understand your animal friends better. I hope this file answers some questions you may have, and of course feel free to ask any that you still seek answers on.

*WHAT IS ANIMAL COMMUNICATION?
* WHAT CAN IT DO, AND WHAT CAN'T IT DO?

Animal communication is one tool, among many, that can be used to help you understand your animal companions, help them with behavior and health issues, and become closer to them. As with any intuitive skills, it is not an exact science, and sometimes the most accurate interpretation of what is received by the communicator comes when consultant and owner put their heads together to more accurately make the translation. An animal communicator can get all kinds of input ... emotional, sensory, physical, thought, images, etc. The act of putting that input together so that it helps to receive answers to questions and understand the animal's point of view is not always precise, but together we can try our best to understand. A communicator is not a vet and cannot diagnose illness, but can help the animal express "where it hurts". A communicator is not a trainer, and can not alone fix behavioral issues, but can help the animal understand how his behavior is affecting his human friends and what their needs are. It also gives the animal a voice to tell his side of the story, to help his person to better understand him. It is a tool to be used in conjunction with vets, trainers, nutrition and many other resources at the animal lover's disposal.

*WHAT ABOUT LOST ANIMALS?

If this session is for a missing animal, many additional difficulties arise; please read the very important links at the bottom of this email to help you to understand them.

*HOW DO THE COMMUNICATION SESSIONS WORK?
* HOW DO CLIENTS PREPARE FOR THEM?

I can schedule either an EMAIL or a PHONE session for you. There are benefits to each, and drawbacks to each. For an email session, only one of us needs to schedule the time, and you do not have to be available in any special way. It also gives you a copy of the session to save or print. The drawback is that it's less immediate and back and forth discussion does not adapt quite a smoothly as the session proceeds. The benefit to a phone session is that adaptability as we go along, but it's more complicated to find a time that works for both of us. The choice is totally up to you. For phone sessions, you would call me at the appointed time, and I will provide the number to call if you choose to do our consult by phone. For either type of session, a photo of your animal(s) is a great benefit but not 100% necessary (I can work from a good description of the animal and through the connection with you). Photos are easiest if sent through email. Also, prepare a few questions or a primary topic of discussion to get us started. If the topics are not extensive, I can often fit up to three animals into the usual half hour session.

*New!* As of March 2008, I am also offering instant messaging Voice Chat sessions. This provides the benefits of a telephone session, without the cost of a phone call to the client. All you need to utilize this option is a broadband connection, either a headset with headphones and microphone, or a computer microphone and headphones or speakers, and a current version of Yahoo Instant Messenger, AOL's AIM, or Skype (all free software). If you request a voice chat session, we will exchange user names for the program option of your choice. I do slightly prefer Yahoo's software, as the sound quality is slightly better, but the others work well, also.

*WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
*WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?

My base rate of $30 is based on a session of up to half an hour, with $1/minute if we go beyond that time. For further information on rates and policies, see my website (http://www.gazehound.com/pets). Please feel free to visit the site at any time to view information on rates as well as other information you may be interested in.

Please note: with the exception of gift certificates and a few other special circumstances, I do not require payment up front. Please wait till after your session is complete to send the fee. I have a "before the fact guarantee", in that if you do not feel the session is helpful, you do not have to pay. My only requirement is that you let me know, so I may check you off the list. Follow-ups are only available to clients who have paid for the previous session.

*IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW BEFORE SCHEDULING A READING?

Very Important: Please view http://www.gazehound.com/pets/details.html for details on the rates and policies agreement. By scheduling a session, you are confirming that you have read and understand the details on that page.
